Further information on the official fuel consumption and on the official specific CO2 emissions of new automobiles can be found in the guidelines on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new automobiles which are available free of charge at all MINI Hong Kong.

All MINI engines meet the EU5 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.

MINI recommends the use of super unleaded 95 RON fuel. Unleaded RON 91 fuel or higher with a maximum ethanol limit of 10 percent (E10) is also permitted. The performance and fuel consumption rates listed are based on the use of RON 98 fuel.

The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

All figures relate to vehicles with standard six-speed manual transmission. Figures in [ ] are for vehicles with six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

MINI COOPER S ROADSTER.

UP FOR ANYTHING.

The MINI Cooper S Roadster is always ready for the best of all adventures: curves. That's where it likes to be the most. Preferably with the soft top down, so the passengers can experience every change in the wind direction directly.

So you can get back up to speed quickly at the end of every zigzag course, the overboost function of the new MINI Cooper S Roadster enables torque to be increased from 240 to 260 Nm.

The exciting two-seater reaches further performance peaks on a straight road – when permitted. The needle on the speedometer goes from 0 to 100 km/h within 7.0 [7.2] s. But that's not all by far. The four-cylinder twin-scroll turbo (winner of four awards) pushes the MINI Cooper S Roadster to a maximum of 227 [222] km/h.

At 80 km/h the rear spoiler extends electrically to make sure the most is made of the airflow. It reduces the lift on the rear axis, giving excellent road holding.

A roadster made for 365 adventures a year.

Although the passengers should make sure they drink enough in summer, the MINI Cooper S Roadster always has a surprising lack of thirst. Thanks to MINIMALISM it consumes only 6.0 [6.6] l/100 km. In any weather, of course. Innovative technology helps to save fuel: the Auto Start Stop Function switches off the motor when you stop and at traffic lights. Brake Energy Regeneration charges the alternator batteries as soon as the driver’s foot leaves the accelerator. The gear shift indicator shows the most fuel-efficient point for the next gear change.

So there is always more Roadster feeling per tank.
